Engineering has been around since ancient times. It’s defined by the invention of the first wedges, levers, wheels, and pulleys, which subsequently enabled the development of complex machines. The implementation of technical projects as well as machines and their components are becoming more and more complex thanks to the ever-advancing technologization. This complexity requires qualified specialists who are often hard to find on the labor market. ReQuests’ purpose is to find exactly these skilled workers for you! Due to our internal know-how in the technical field, we can optimally support both the customer and the applicant side, thus creating a win-win situation for all parties involved.

Mechanical engineering

The basics of mechanical engineering are as old as man himself. Even before the Stone Age, hand axes were used to specifically shape and change materials. In ancient times, systems were first developed to store, direct or move forces. The foundations of mechanics were created. At the latest since industrialization, mechanical engineering has been an essential part of all our lives. It is used in almost all parts of daily life. Without mechanical engineering, neither energy generation, storage or transport, nor modern locomotion or production would be possible.

Building services engineering

Building services engineering is a part of supply engineering. Together with electrical engineering and measurement, control, and regulation technology, it forms one of the essential subsections of technical building equipment (TGA). Building services engineering includes all technical installations apart from power supply and distribution as well as modern control systems. All pipes and ducts carrying water, air and gas are thus part of building services engineering. As a rule, most of this technology is not visible. Without it, however, we would neither have a warm home, nor running water, or a ventilation system that ensures clean air in our kitchens, restaurants or cultural facilities.

Plant engineering

Just like building services engineering, plant engineering is a sub-area of conveyor technology. Basically, many components of these two areas are very similar or even the same. The main difference lies in the dimensions, the tools conveyed and the area of application. While building services engineering is used purely in building construction, plant engineering is very industry oriented. Depending on the industry, special tools may be required for which special components and standards are used, depending on the physical properties. Since the consumption of raw materials in industrial plants is much higher than when used for buildings, larger dimensions are often applied.

Electrical engineering and electronics

This sub-area includes all lines and components that serve the distribution or processing of electrical currents. Electrical engineering is more responsible for the distribution and production of electricity and is used in technical building equipment, in plant construction, in mechanical engineering or in locomotion. Electronics is more responsible for the use of electricity. It ensures that we can operate machines or convert electricity into information. While electrical engineering mainly involves cables, transformers and hardware such as sockets and lamps, in electronics we tend to find components such as circuit boards, resistors and sensors.

Building Technology

Building technology can essentially be divided into two sub-areas. Structural engineering includes all structures that are mainly located above the ground. This primarily includes buildings and towers. Civil engineering includes all structures that are mainly below the ground line or fall into the area of infrastructure. This includes tunnels and roads or underground buildings such as underground car parks. Since foundation engineering is also part of civil engineering, buildings such as waterways, supply networks and sewage systems are also included in this subject field.

Automotive

Locomotion is a central component of the global world. Einstein already reflected on the connection between time and space. Modern mobility enables people to travel great distances in a short time, and thus discover the entire planet, or even what lies beyond it. Whether by land, sea, or air, without the engineers in the automotive, aerospace and aviation industries, we would not have the means to get to work quickly, travel to other countries or expand our horizons beyond our planet.

Automation technology

It is used to automate machines, plants, and technical systems, and is becoming increasingly important for the industrial sector as technology advances. However, the automation of certain processes does not only make sense from an economic point of view. It also relieves people of dangerous and strenuous work and improves the quality of products. Furthermore, the products needed on the market would often not be available if automation technology did not exist. It compensates for the increasing workload because of the economic growth-inspired rising productivity.

Measurement, control, and regulation technology

Measurement and control technology is part of automation technology. It is mainly used in technical building equipment (TGA) and ensures the smooth running of technical processes and communication between the individual components. Measurement always comes first. Various sensors or devices are used to record electrical and non-electrical parameters, which are subsequently converted into an electrical signal and fed into a signal processing system. The output of this signal processing is used to evaluate the measured values and to control and regulate mechanical components (e.g. heating controllers, pressure controllers, etc.).
